Solo Traveller
Sharon McKenzie - About Me

The thing about travel guides is that most of them are written by people who've either never actually been to the places they're writing about, or they went once for three days and decided they were experts.

I'm not one of those people. Everything here comes from actually being there, usually for longer than planned because I may have become distracted by something that wasn't on any official list of things to see.

You'll find stories about safe swimming in rockpools and under waterfalls in the Northern Territory, driving down back roads in Victoria that'll shake your teeth loose, and the wonder of New Zealand's breathtakingly beautiful South Island.

There's no hype, no travel brochure nonsense, and no claiming everything is "unmissable" or "life-changing." These are my honest stories about what these places are actually like for me. I also include the practical details that might save you some hassle when you get there yourself.

If you travel solo, live with chronic illness, or just prefer slow, thoughtful exploring over rushing from one Instagram spot to the next, this is probably going to be your kind of place.
